A dança Blues é uma família de danças históricas, que se desenvolveu com a música Blues. A dança Blues reflecte a diversidade da música (Delta,Jump, West coast, Piedmont, slow, fast, Chicago, Memphis, etc).
Talvez os maiores mito hoje sobre Blues é a convicção que as músicas Blues são tristes e que não se dançam, mas, em geral, as músicas Blues são, de facto, otimistas e têm tudo a ver com ultrapassar a tristeza e problemas do dia a dia. Quanto a não se dançarem, o Blues surgiu como música tocada nas festas nocturnas de sexta e sábado na comunidade Afro-Americana no sul dos Estados Unidos da América, quando as pessoas se reuniam nas Juke Joints ou em House Rent Parties para, no final de uma semana cansativa de trabalho, comemorarem e divertirem-se.

Blues dance is a family of historical dances, which developed with blues music. Blues dance reflects the diversity of music (Delta, Jump, West coast, Piedmont, slow, fast, Chicago, Memphis, etc).
Perhaps the biggest myth today about blues is the belief that blues songs are sad and not danced to, but in general, blues songs are indeed optimistic and are all about overcoming sadness and everyday problems. As for not dancing, Blues emerged as music played at Friday and Saturday night parties in the African-American community in the southern United States of America, when people gathered at Juke Joints or House Rent Parties to, at the end of a tiring week of work, celebrate and have fun.
