♫•♫ About Blues Music & Dance:
Blues dance is a family of historical dances that evolved right alongside Blues music, reflecting its vast diversity (Delta, Jump, West Coast, Piedmont, Slow, Fast, Chicago, Memphis, and more). One of the biggest myths today is that Blues music is sad and not meant for dancing — on the contrary! Blues music is inherently uplifting, centered around dancing away the struggles of daily life.
♫•♫ About Swing Music & Dance:
Swing and Jazz are meant to be danced, not just heard! Danced to the iconic Swing tunes of the 1920s through 1950s, vintage dances are rich in partner connection and solo movement rooted in African-American culture. Above all, they are incredibly fun and the best way to get hooked on this infectious rhythm!
💃 Styles on the floor: On our dance floor, we usually dance Blues, Balboa, Slow Bal, Charleston, and Lindy Hop, but freedom comes first: you can dance whatever you want to whatever music is playing!
